Esosi’s Year in Review: Celebrating 2024's Events and Highlights

Esosi has been showcasing its collection of handmade bags, attending various events that celebrate culture, wellness, and community. Our journey has been filled with meaningful interactions with people, inspiring moments, and appreciating cultural arts. Here’s a look at some of the events we've been a part of: 


1. Black Joy Parade
Date: February 25, 2024

This year’s Black Joy Parade in downtown Oakland was a vibrant celebration of Black culture, art, and joy. The streets were alive with music, dancing, and incredible vendors showcasing the richness of our community. Esosi was proud to be part of this amazing event, bringing our handmade caña flecha bags to the parade’s marketplace.

Highlights:
    • Lively Parade Performances: The event was filled with music, dance, and vibrant displays at the streets with energy and pride.
    • Vibrant Marketplace: We showcased our handmade caña flecha bags to  amazing people. Attendees showed incredible love for vendors.

    2. 10th Annual Oakland Carnival Wellness Festival 2024
    Date: June 01, 2024


    The 10th Annual Oakland Carnival Wellness Festival was a vibrant celebration of culture, health, and community. Held in the heart of Oakland, this event brought different people together to enjoy a day of music, dance, and wellness activities.

    Highlights:

    • Cultural Performances: The festival featured different performances and live music from local artists.
    • Wellness Activities: Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy dance classes, delicious foods, and discover local businesses.

    3. Juneteenth Celebration
    Date: June 15, 2024

    Juneteenth, a significant day commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, was celebrated with joy and pride at our local event. The day was filled with festivities that honored African American culture and history.

    • Historical Insights: The event's main feature is about the history and significance of Juneteenth.
    • Cultural Festivities: Live music, performances, and foods were featured during the celebration, with local artists and vendors showcasing their talents and products.

    4. Follow Your Muse Brand Launch Event
    Date: June 22, 2024

    The Follow Your Muse Brand Launch Event was a celebration of creativity and entrepreneurship, bringing together local brands and inspiring individuals.

    Highlights:

    • Local Businesses: The event featured unique products from different local brands, sharing their inspiring stories. 
    • Business Community Engagement: Attendees had the chance to connect with business-minded individuals, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

    5. African Arts Festival
    Date: September 7, 2024

    Esosi had the privilege of attending and vending our handmade bags at the vibrant African Arts Festival. It was a day filled with the lively spirit of African culture, featuring live music, dance performances, activities for kids, and talented vendors showcasing their crafts.

    • Live Performances: The festival came with lively music and performances that honored African traditions and artistry.
    • Diverse Marketplace: Vendors shared their unique creations and had an opportunity to connect to the community. 

    6. Head West Marketplace State Street
    Date: October 27, 2024

    Esosi was excited to be a vendor at the Head West Marketplace on State Street for the first time! We proudly showcased our handmade bags and loved the opportunity to connect with other talented vendors and the vibrant community.

    Highlights:

    • Vibrant marketplace: The marketplace was filled with unique, handmade products by small businesses. 
    • Community Connections: Esosi was glad to had the chance to meet and connect with other talented vendors. 

    7. Head West Marketplace Ferry Building
    Date: November 03, 2024

    Esosi had the pleasure of being a vendor at the Head West Marketplace at the Ferry Building! We were excited to showcase our handmade bags and connect with other talented vendors. We brought our own customized tent to make sure our booth was set up beautifully and represented our brand perfectly.

    Highlights

    • Customized Booth Setup: We made sure that we create a welcoming and organized booth to showcase our handmade caña flecha bags.
    • Vendor Connections: It was a pleasure to meet other local vendors and connect with other local artisans, sharing stories and experiences.

    8. Head West Marketplace N. Main Street
    Date: November 17, 2024

    Esosi was thrilled to be a vendor at another Head West Marketplace on N. Main Street! We showcased our handmade bags, focusing on our large caña flecha  bags. We made sure our booth was both inviting and beautiful, so we set up our own customized tent, creating a welcoming space for customers to explore our collection.

    Highlights: 
      • Large Caña Flecha Bags Display: We showcased most of our large handbags. Customers were drawn to the vibrant colors and intricate details of our bags.
      • Vendor Connections: We had a chance to meet new customer and connect with local vendors.

      9. CREES Services and Entrepreneurship Fair 2024
      Date: November 23, 2024


      This special event celebrated Colombian culture with vibrant activities, delicious food, and a focus on entrepreneurship. We were excited to showcase our handmade bags and connect with the community.

      Highlights:

      • Celebrating Culture: The day was filled with lively music, traditional Colombian dances, and amazing food, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
      • Showcasing Handmade Bags: Esosi had the opportunity to display our unique bags made in caña flecha, sharing their cultural significance and exceptional design and pattern.


      10. Head West Marketplace Ferry Building
      Date: December 1, 2024

      Esosi was excited to return as a vendor at the Head West Marketplace at the Ferry Building! This was our second time participating and also the final Head West Marketplace we attended in 2024.


      Highlights: 

      • Showcasing Handmade Bags: Our caña flecha bags were a standout, with customers admiring the craftsmanship and uniqueness of each piece.
      • Building Connections: This final Head West Marketplace of the year allowed us to connect with loyal customers and fellow vendors, making it a memorable experience.

      11. Holiday Pop-Up by Duafe Designs and Waistbeads by Ayodele 
      Date: December 22, 2024

      Esosi was honored to be a vendor at the Annual Holiday Pop-up hosted by Duafe Designs and Waistbeads by Ayodele. This event was a heartfelt celebration of small businesses, Black-owned businesses, and the holiday season! 

      Highlights: 

      • Celebrating Black-owned Businesses: The event highlighted the creativity and entrepreneurship of black-owned business owners.
      • Holiday Celebration: The pop-up was a festive gathering, bringing people together to enjoy shopping, food, and holiday cheer while supporting small businesses.


      Participating in these events has been an incredible journey for us, Esosi. We've had the opportunity to connect with diverse communities, shared our handmade bags, and celebrated traditions. Each event has left a lasting impression on us, and we look forward to many more opportunities to engage with our community and showcase our unique collections.
